With a venue capacity of 1,820 seated or 2,630 standing this venue offers the complete concert entertainment experience or an intimate outdoor event for close family and friends. Complete with the natural shading of the park’s breathtaking trees and landscaping, Memorial Park and the historically landmarked building, the Mary Lubko Center, make a wonderful place for a variety of events. During the summer season, the Wheaton Park District programs a wide variety of music and performing arts entertainment from the Memorial Park Bandshell which runs from late May through early October.

Bandshell & Public Performing Arts Rental Use

The recently renovated Memorial Park Bandshell features built-in sound and lighting perfect for band, choral, or performance use. The rental of the bandshell is limited to full park rental. Only a few dates per summer are allotted for private use. Availability is subject to change. For consideration, please review the attached Event Rental Package and Fees before submitting an inquiry for your event. Rental rates are not negotiable and details of the event must be submitted in advance for consideration by the Wheaton Park District Special Events Team.

Memorial Park is a beautifully manicured 2.5-acre park that is still home to the historical landmark, Judge Elbert Gary’s estate coach house built-in 1888. Now aptly named the Mary Lubko Center, the building offers a casual comfortable space with classic wood-paneled walls, a large stone fireplace, and beautiful views of Memorial Park. The building and park are ADA accessible.

With multiple event spaces, Memorial Park offers something for all types of events both indoor and outdoor. The Mary Lubko Center building features a rustic room (VIP) and sunroom (Coach). The Lions Terrace off the building can be rented in addition to the building to provide your guests a great outdoor cocktail area, a place to step out to enjoy the fresh air, the ability to dine or meet overlooking the park.

Memorial Park offers the perfect multi-use event space with crushed granite-based (no heels digging into grass), access to the Mary Lubko Center building for indoor restrooms for the comfort of your guests, and a backup rain location for seating up to 40 (60 standing room).
